All classes include technique, stretching, and choreography and terminology.
Personal correction and attention for all students.
Basic Dance: 45-minute class - Introduction to dance for young children. Combination of tap, ballet, pompon, and tumbling.
Basic II: 45-minute class - Similar to Basic Dance. More advanced for the experienced or slightly older beginner.
Tap: All ages and abilities. Learn basic and advanced tap steps, utilizing many different styles and rhythms.
Hip-Hop: A high energy class, teaching current styles of hip-hop to the latest hip-hop music.
Dance Team: Technique and choreography desinged for dance team styles. Technique includes turns, leaps, etc. Choregraphy can include: Hip Hop, Jazz, kicklines and other dance team realted styles. If you are interested in joining the studio dance team - ask an instructor.
Ballet: Technique taught through barre work, carefully conducted stretches, and adagio and allegro center floor combination. Proper technique and terminology used in all classes.
Jazz: Styles taught from classical to modern, funk to lyric. Technique taught through carefully conducted stretches, center floor technique and choreography.
PomPon: A modified jazz class with pompon in hand. Designed for the student wanting to improve dance team and cheerleading skills as well as large group formations.
Interpretive: Learn to create a word picture with arm and body movement depicting the meaning of the song lyrics and emotional content of the music.
Lyric: Similar to Interpretive plus advanced dance choreography incorporating ballet and modern movement.
Gymnastics: Proper gymnastics training with an emphasis on floor. Includes acrobatic moves, beam work, mini-tramp and springboard. Personal attention with individual corrections given to all students. Hands on spotting for all difficult stunts.
Rhythmic Gymnastics: Dance and gymnastics combined using ribbons, hoops, balls, and jump ropes.
Performance: Advanced dancers only. Choreography using all forms of dance, designed for specific performances.
Boy's Only Class: Specialty class utilizing Jazz, Hip Hop and/or Tap. Choreography and technique designed to strengthen athletic abilities and improve coordination. |
