Shirley Van created The Dance Company to give our students the experience of performing in a company environment. Our students, as well as our audience, benefit from the experience of our performances.

Over the years we have performed such stories as: Cinderella, Snow White, Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Pinocchio, Giselle, excerpts from the Beatrix Potter Stories and many other concert type shows.

We have also created, sponsored and performed in two patriotic shows: We Really Care, was created to welcome troops home from Desert Storm and was performed at the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena along with other local talents. If You Love Your Freedom Thank a Veteran, a song and dance show including music and stories from WW I, WW II, Korea and Vietnam. These shows were designed to salute and thank our troops and veterans from the past, present and future.

The Dance Company is best known for its performance of The Nutcracker, which has been danced every November since 1979.
